YouTube personality and performer Fousey’s concert at the Greek Theatre Sunday night was canceled following a bomb threat.
According to reports, some 1,500 people were forced to evacuate after a tipster claimed to have placed a device at the venue. After a search of the site, police said no device was found and some reports are calling the situation a hoax.
Fousey (real name Yousef Erakat) shared a video with his 2.9 million Instagram followers in which he discussed not being able to get into his own event, entitled “Hate Dies, Love Arrives.”
“We’re just being tested right now,” he said.
The 29-year-old Fousey, who was born in California to parents of Palestinian origin, has built a loyal online following with his comedy sketches and pranks.
After his scheduled date was scrapped, Fousey entertained fans outside the complex with an impromptu performance and speech.
