Hi all so I’m off into the big wide world of mixing..
So I have almost everything sorted but would like to know when making a mix using say a chefs flavours concentrate what percentage of concentrate would usually be used..I know flavours are subjective just wondering if there was a normally it’s X percent.
Thanks

Just started myself in the last couple of weeks.
It's a good idea at first to try and mix some clones to give you an idea of %. All the links you will need can be found on post 6 of my juice list stuck at the top of new user section. A set of scales is the easiest and use a calculator to work it all out for you. I use steam calculator.
You will never have enough concentrates. I'm up to around 40 bottles now and still am missing one or two flavours.

If you are getting chefs one shots then it will have the % on the bottle and the average is 15% buy individual flavours can vary from 1% to 5%

Are you using one shots dude? If that's the case there's normally a recommended percentage, or at least a percentage to start from and adjust to taste. They can range from as low as 8% ish all the way up to 30%. Most of what i use i round up or down slightly so I'm using 10/15/20% most of the time. Just makes it easy and everything gets a decent holiday in the cupboard before I use it anyways.

Recipes from scratch it's like cooking a sunday roast and all dependant on what you want the end result to be. And I'm zero help there because I'm culinarily challenged as it is, without making a hash of my juice as well as my lunch.

It all depends on the concentrate you’re using. Some are very strong, others not so. Most of my liquids are between 1-5 %, some are too strong at less that 1%, but some diyers can be mixing at 20% with the one shot concentrates which must not be as strong. You might find a suggested concentration on the chef’s website for the ones you’ve got. But I’d suggest starting at about half of the suggestion, a small batch, and adjust to your own preference.

As others have said it will vary from concentration to concentration. Some flavours like cinnamon will require just a drop or two otherwise you'll overpower your mix.

I'd recommend checking out the above link, sort them by rating, pick a recipe or two you like the look of then order the flavours you need to mix it up. Once you've got a feel for it you can start experimenting with your own recipes.

I'll also recommend checking this Reddit sub. It's a lot more active than the mixing section here and has a huge amount of information etc.

I would also add, I find the pg/vg % makes a difference, higher vg requires a higher % concentrate, I think this may be why some concentrates have a percentage range as opposed to a fixed one, have fun and good luck :)

Going to be using chefs flavours ry whore concentrate.

I use ry whore at 20%, it's one I use at 12mg 50/50vg/pg and mtl for when I feel I need more nic, it's a nice flavour, nutty treacle toffee with a tobacco background, but that's my opinion ;) it does change a little with time I find, flavours seem to mix together more and taste more blended as opposed to more distinctive and individual when fresh, if that makes sense!
Not sure how much you have but if you make a couple of small batches with say 15% and 25% and try them after a day or 2 you would get an idea which is right for you, then put it all together and you should have the comparison of 20% :)

If it's this one, the reviews at the bottom say the recommended percentage is 20%. As @Vaporz1 says, a good idea is to do a few smaller batches first, so you're using less of the concentrate. Remember - almost all concentrates are in PG, so that will be a part of your overall PG content.
