Post-Doctoral or Associate Research Scientist position is available in the Mouse Core of a well-established research project focused on the development of biomarkers for individualized prediction of radiation injury. This Core Facility is in the Center for Radiological Research at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
The Mouse Core is responsible for mouse colony maintenance, mouse irradiation, blood and tissue collection from mice, and blood cell analysis by flow cytometry. The candidate will be expected to carry out experiments in a variety of mouse models, utilizing flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry.
The candidate should have at least 1 year of research experience in one or more of the above-mentioned research activities in a mouse model context.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Physiology/Cell Biology or a related field; expertise in mouse models, cellular biology, and cell-based assays. Applicants with a background in radiation biology or immunology are especially encouraged to apply.
