Ray Wilson of Blossom, Texas

Ray Wilson 88, of Blossom, died at 7:40 p.m., Thursday, May 17 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 2 at the Paris Church of Christ with Bro. Mike Folmar officiating. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of cremation arrangements.

Ray was born July 5, 1929 in Lamar County to James S. and Zelma Davidson Wilson. Mr. Wilson served in the United States Army during the Korean War from Feb. 12, 1951, transferring to the Army Reserve on Dec. 10, 1952.  He married Jeanette Elizabeth Herron on Sep. 19, 1978, in Hugo. He was a carpenter and worked as a maintenance man for some of the local daycare centers in Paris.  Mr. Wilson was a member of the Paris Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Wilson; his daughter, Kimberley Ann Carter, and husband, Mark; five grandchildren, Carley, Kendra, John, Annley, and Zoey Carter; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Wilson; his parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
