‘President Tweety’: Joe Biden debuts nickname for Trump

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has unveiled his nickname for President Trump.

While speaking to the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Victory Fund on Monday, the former vice president debuted his nickname for Trump despite previously saying he was resistant to do so.

“Trump was out there tweeting again this morning. I call him President Tweety. ‘Reopen the country.’ How are we supposed to do that if you’re sitting on the money small businesses need in order to stay alive? Stop tweeting about it. Get the money out to Main Street,” Biden said.

Trump has developed a variety of monikers for his political rivals, including “Sleepy Joe” Biden, “Crooked Hillary” Clinton, and “Crazy Bernie” Sanders. He also created for nicknames for several Democrats no longer in the 2020 presidential race, calling former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg “Alfred E. Neuman” and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren “Pocahontas” after she claimed Native American heritage.

Republicans have not been immune to Trump’s ire either. During a contentious 2016 GOP primary, Trump labeled former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush with the nickname “Low Energy Jeb” and described Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as “Lyin’ Ted.”
