Talks between Inter and Fiorentina over a swap deal involving Dalbert and Cristiano Biraghi are now at an advanced stage according to a report from Sky Sport transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Dalbert initially appeared unwilling to entertain a switch to the Tuscan club due to wanting a return to Nice but he has been convinced about moving to La Viola – where he is certain to get more playing time than he has had at Inter.

Inter were willing to allow Dalbert to return to Nice, who they bought him from for cira €20 million two Summer’s ago, but having struggled to agree terms with the Ligue 1 outfit, they instead directed their attention to getting a deal done with Fiorentina instead.

The arrival of Biraghi, aside from the quality he will bring to the team, will also help Inter out when it comes to meeting squad requirements in UEFA competitions relating to homegrown players due to the fact Biraghi is an Inter academy graduate.
