Ekweremadu's attack: Nnamdi Kanu offers N1m for Southeast governors’ travel plan, places Chief of Army Staff Tukur Buratai on watchlist

Ekweremadu

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Mr. Nnamdi Kanu on Sunday August 18, offered a N1 million reward for a leak of the overseas travel plan of Southeast governors.

In his 87 minutes broadcast which centered on the attack on Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Germany by members of the group he heads, Nnamdi Kanu warned all Igbo political leaders not to travel out of the country for their own good. Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe was however exempted from the warning.

“So if you are working in any Government House in Southeast and you know which city in the world your governor is going to be, inform us so that we will mobilise for him and you will be rewarded with N1 million" he said.

The IPOB leader stated that they hold a grudge against Governors and the former Deputy Senate President for aiding the proscription of the group.  Also accusing the Enugu West Senator of backing the suspended RUGA policy of the federal government, Nnamdi alleged that Ekweremadu embezzled money budgeted for construction of Enugu-Porthacourt Expressway by former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. The claim is however unconfirmed.

“They and not the Federal Government of Nigerian proscribed IPOB,” said Mr Kanu.

“They said they proscribed IPOB to douse rising tension in the region. What caused the tension, because the military raided my house in Umuahia.

“They also brought the army to raid my house in Umuahia. How many times has he spoken against the killings and kidnappings happening in his own state?” queried Mr Kanu.

“He went to celebrate New Yam Festival in Germany when his people are being killed and our women being raped. Where did they get the new yam because there is none in Igboland since all the farmlands have been destroyed by herdmen".

Also placed on IPOB's overseas watchlist are Ohaneze Ndigbo President-General, John Nwodo and Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai. Stating that the group will never forgive Buratai over killings and atrocities allegedly committed by the military in the southeast, the separatist leader accused Nwodo of saying that Igbo youths were responsible for the killings and kidnappings in the region. He also praised Femi Fani-Kayode and Senator Abaribe for being plainspoken.

“We have nominated five persons each in every country or the world who are ready to be arrested and be jailed for this purpose. Many of us have been killed so what is there in going to jail”, he said.

“We campaigned for Abaribe’s re-election because he always spoke the truth everytime about what is happening in the country and today he is the highest political office holder in Igboland.

“Fani Kayode is not an Igbo man but he always stands for the truth and so we have enormous respect for him" he added.

Recall that Mr. Kanu jumped bail in 2017, shortly after his group was proscribed by the Nigerian government.

Supported. The era of useless politicians and abuja ass lickers in the southeast has gone for good. At least there is no hiding place abroad as there is no army, police or DSS to provide escort.

Nnamdi Kanu, no country would allow you to use their territory as incubating grounds to promote your acts of assault on Nigerans. It is a crime. With this singular act of making a broadcast and issuing a warning, you may be implicating yourself and constituting a threat to international security. You may no longer be regarded as Nigeria's problem but as an international problem. Like I tell you, you are not sufficiently mature to lead a struggle of this nature. It requires a lot of tact, negotiating skills, wisdom and alliances. If you get into trouble and become wanted, which country would give you asylum? Go and look at leaders like Martin Luther King and Mahatma Ghandi. Assault and violence was never a tool they used. The igbos arevery enterprising. Build on this and let them become self-reliant instead of forcing them to fight your Biafra cause. Once you become a force, the Nigerian government and the people that matter would be forced to negotiate with you. If you think I am lying, look at the Hausa/Fulani ligarchy; no one can become Nigeria's president without negotiating with them.

My problem with Kanu is “makes a lot of noise like Yoruba people” if truly his a freedom fighter as I would love him to be, he would stop making noise and start making impact. This is what I love about the likes of Osita Ebiem whenever I read his article, Kanu has the capability to mobilise but lacks strategy and policy development, have you guys seen the leader of Ambazonia war Dr cho ayaba? This guy is full of strategy although the two differ in region mentality but his clearly a freedom fighter unlike Kanu and his noise. One of Osita Ebiem Article published somewhere, I think Pamzuka In 2012 suggested away intelligent organisations creation and justice hit team, did that sink in? Away intelligent group, is secret gathering and information network, justice seeker is (hit men). If an Igbo organisation is able to do this, it’s easy to execute all corrupt anti Igbo independence promises politicians. The Israeli Mossad was formed like this from outside, they took out all of not 80% of self hating Jews against the creation of Israel. This was what Osita Ebiem hinted in that article, imagine creating credible organisations and invite corrupt politicians for awards and key not speaking, they show up. Finish the program got hit by 5 bullets, next one maybe Nigeria ambassador on 6 bullet, corrupt Igbo Abuja politician 7 then on 30th of May hit corrupt local Govt chairman 30 bullet. Say nothing about that in years to come it would be connected, 30th of 5=May 6 7 get it? 30th of May 1967 the day Biafra was declared. You can do this in many ways to clear the bad eggs

Most of our politicians are just wicked because they feel there is a safe haven for them and their children abroad but if this can be achieved, honestly Nigeria will be a better place because they will have no option than to make things work here.
