State signs up for integrated sharing of health data
Dehradun: In an attempt to prevent the spread of diseases, the state is all set to roll out an integrated health information platform (IHIP) to share real-time village-level case data with GIS tagging facility.
Addressing health department officials at the inauguration of a two-day workshop on Wednesday, National Health Mission director Yugal Kishore Pant said that the new platform would make sure that all health data would be available at one place for the convenience of patients and health planners.
“We will collect data about diseases and patients from all branches of the health department,” he added. In 2016, the Centre had informed Parliament that the move behind setting up IHIP was to enable the creation of interoperable health records that can be made available and accessible throughout the country. While seven states have already signed up for the programme, the hill state is the latest entrant under the scheme.
