You couldn’t make this stuff up. An artificial so-called climate target was defeated by one of nature’s cold snaps. The mind boggles at the idiotic pretentiousness of their climate obsession, helpless in the face of weather.

The Beast from the East, which shut down much of the country in 2018, has been blamed for Scotland missing a climate target, says The Scotsman.

Unseasonably cold temperatures and heavy snowfall brought transport to a halt and closed schools in late February and early March two years ago.

Scotland’s environment secretary Roseanna Cunningham told the Scottish Parliament an increase in energy usage during the cold snap has contributed to a 1.5 per cent rise in greenhouse gas emissions between 2017 and 2018.

It meant the Scottish Government missed its own climate target to reduce emissions by 54 per cent compared to the 1990 baseline, which was put in place through legislation last year.

Oh mannie, whatever next…Eh? could make lots of jokes about them – the Sco-ish government -no the sparks in the fire. More life in a box of Aspros -remember them?

What a load of cobblers, a few days of extra cold – and hundreds of days of milder than usual weather when less energy than normal was required!

The Beast From The east occurred Feb 2018.

Let’s wait to hear her excuses on emissions for 2019.

Thanks to Degree-Data data, we can compare the relative coldness (or warmth) of different periods & regions.

Selecting East Scotland/Edinburgh area, and year ending date we can compare the Heating Degree Days of different years. (Select HDD 18.5 degC)

    Year-ending 31/12/2017 Heating Degree Days = 3,072; Feb 2017 = 350

    Year-ending 31/12/2018 Heating Degree Days = 3,465; Feb 2018 = 415

    Year-ending 31/12/2019 Heating Degree Days = 3,908; Feb 2019 = 371

its a freaking religion and the Imams of the Church of the Satanic Gases will no more abandon their belief system in the face of facts and real world weather than any other religion. Besides, it pays so well.

But as long as we can make you think it is possible, we win and you lose — thanks very much and keep sending the money.

BBC weather presenter this morning claimed 2020 would be one of the warmest years ever or something, ‘despite COVID’. So either CO2 is more or less unchanged by lockdowns, or human changes to it have nothing to do with the weather anyway – or both.

As he spoke he was pointing at a big bar chart showing blue in the 1800s and red in the 2000s 🥱

Brits must be wondering why they’re not being roasted alive, looking at that.

So that begs the question what will happen when the winter weather changes to something like the 1960 for a few years. Not probable? With the solar output declining it is more likely than not.
