Inter are waiting for Paris Saint-Germain to up their offer for Mauro Icardi after agreeing to give them a discount according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

There was no shortage of contact between Paris Saint Germain sporting director Leonardo and Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio over the weekend and there was also plenty of contact with the player’s agent, Wanda Nara.

Icardi joined Paris Saint Germain on a season long loan this past Summer with a €70 million option to buy attached but Inter have agreed to let him go for €60 million and are now waiting for Paris Saint Germain to offer that.

If they make that offer, it would be the third offer they have made after they have had a €35 million plus Julian Draxler and a €50 million offer both turned down.

Icardi and Wanda are both convinced about staying in the French capital and the report warns that the only doubt now is whether a clause may be inserted into the deal with prevents Paris Saint-Germain from selling the Argentine to Juventus or another Italian club for a set amount of time.
