Busselton Jetty.

Longest timber piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.

Construction began in 1865 as a mere 161 meters, sand drift resulted in an additional 131 meters being added in 1875. Further extensions were made throughout the following 90 years creating the 1.8 km length. After more than a century of use and servicing 5000 vessels, it officially closed as a port in 1973.

1.841 kms to the end… of course we made them walk the plank and back. We are that kind of parents. They loved it ;-)
