Tanzania’s government has banned the popular musician Diamond Platinumz from staging concerts and conducting any performances in and out of the country.


The body that regulates art in the country, Busata, said they took the decision following Diamond’s defiance of a ban on his song, Mwanza.


Mwanza, was banned by Busata, for containing lyrics that can loosely translate to ‘Hot’ and featuring dance moves that authorities considered indecent.

Despite the ban on the song, Diamond performed the Mwanza to his fans at a concert on Sunday in the port city of Mwanza.

You ban him in Tanzania where you have full legal jurisdiction, and you also want him not to perform in another country.

Like how the government here need to ban some yeyebrities and their show off on social media... like the FIRS need to start going after them too, as they invariably lead to the alarming rate of ritualist and suicidal folks as in the case of folks like that Shyngle gal...some of these so called celebrities are indeed bad rap in the society... poor choices for mentorship for our young boys and girls... imagine 15year olds into money rituals because of the flauntings they see on the gram.

East Africans musicians do add Nigerian words in their music e.g ololufemi wa ba mi jo, shaku shaku etc

you don't have that right to decide whats right or wrong.. whats bad or not .. we already have something called Conscience and a law enforcement agent called Karma ... why didn't they immitate others ... they didn't force you to make them role models, I think the society is bleeped up because parents and government ain't playing their role...you can't blame a young man trying to shine because some stoopid kid somewhere who lack home training wants to copy them ... I think the problem is parents should teach their kid not to emulate anyone wether on social media or not ...thats how it start we call him davido at home because his name is David ... teach your kids to be original , at least when they are known for evil ,,, they"d be original evil ..,. I mean like BUHARI
