FG Says 5.4 Million Poor Nigerians Are Now Receiving N5K Monthly

The federal government has through the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO) said a total of 5,433,394 Nigerians are now on the conditional cash transfer programme.









This is according to an infographic shared on its Twitter page with beneficiaries drawn from 1,080,240 households across 32 states. This was as of January 31, 2020.
The office also said it has captured 9,458,160 individuals on the national social register of poor and vulnerable households.

  8. What an insult on Nigeria and Nigerians. Please is the N5k received daily or monthly? What can N5k buy or do in present day Nigeria? Is it a crime to be a Nigerian? Why must the poor always be at the receiving end? These people distributing the N5k, can they confidently feed each one of their family with N5k/day how much more per week or monthly?
