Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport have taken a look at how Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will serve Inter in various areas.

The corporate side of things in terms of organising the club is Marotta’s ‘thing’ so to speak. The organisation of the club is of course a group effort so he will not be going it alone. Having always worked with a sporting director Piero Ausilio’s role at Inter is unlikely to be changed.

Wherever he has been he has always paid close attention to the media. With a particular naturalness about it, he carries out the role of the front man, something Inter manager Luciano Spalletti will benefit from as Max Allegri did while Marotta was at Juventus.

Diplomatic work is another thing central to Marotta’s way of working. As a recently appointed Federal Councillor, an appointment that is by no means accidental, the relationships he has with people could well help Inter out.

Finally, Marotta is an expert in the transfer market as evidenced by the signings he made – particularly the free transfers – at Juventus. His market expertise is part of the reason Inter wanted to add him to their executive set up. He will make sustainable signings with the potential for a subsequent big money sale.
