Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs slams Adeboye and CAN's protest against insecurity

Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs slams Adeboye and CAN

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye have gotten a knock from the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) over the protest they embarked upon against insecurity across the country last weekend.

NSCIA's Director of Administration, Alhaji Yusuf Chinedozi Nwoha who released a statement on behalf of the group headed by the Sultan of Sokoto Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar, said the protest gave a political colouration to grinding insecurity fueled by hypocrisy and hubris.

The group backed President Buhari on claims of more muslims being killed by Boko Haram than Christians and also insisted that the terrorist group does not represent Islam or Muslims. NSCIA stated that claim of Boko Haram being a ploy to eliminate Christians, is being promoted by dealers camouflaging as religious leaders to their followers and the outside world.

The statement read;

“It is rather discomfiting and heart-rending that some misguided elements in our country have resorted to the dangerous game of playing politics with security. Political mercenaries and religious combatants united by rapacious greed and chronic hatred have occupied the public space with putrid writings and toxic speeches.

“For the sake of fleeting popularity and Twitter-trending, some public figures with ulterior motives offer themselves as willing tools in the hands of disgruntled politicians to play politics with insecurity without remembering that when the fire they are stocking becomes an uncontrollable conflagration, there would be nowhere for them to play their politics as the nation would have been consumed. It is a failure of education the people goaded by ambition cannot see the big picture and the danger inherent in their actions.

“In essence, rather than see the monstrosity that insecurity has become a national challenge that requires collective action, agents of destabilisation seek to score cheap political goals and engage in self-indicting propaganda.

“One of them is the recently organised street show by some religious leaders who give political coloration to grinding insecurity fueled by hypocrisy and hubris.

“But efforts must be doubled through the instrumentality of hard work and prayers so that the enemies of Nigeria will be unveiled and this is where Government must double or triple its efforts at counter-insecurity measures.

“It is, therefore, the height of insincerity, wickedness, falsehood and hypocrisy to suggest that Boko Haram is a ploy to eliminate Christians, a dummy being promoted by some dealers camouflaging as religious leaders to their followers and the outside world."

Fulanis-Hausas have a strategy by keeping some Igbos and Yorubas on their payroll. How it took the rest of Nigerians to catch up to their dangerous games is baffling. The greatest enemy is not your opponent but one of you. They used these traitors like Akintola, Nwoha to spread their agenda more and defend their dirty works.

That fake Igbo man that is their spokes man is a bastard. He must be expelled from the East. We only have one faith in the East and it's the believe in Christ Jesus. It's either you practice Christianity or we uproot you and all your family members before you defile our land with terrorists religion. Islam means backwardness, we will never allow it in the East. We will treat any Igbo who is a Muslim as a traitor and this means death for the person. So, be warned stupid yusuf chinedozi nwoha. We will uproot your entire lineage from the East, revert back or be expelled.

What is wrong with these people? Anything Christians do is against them! The placards raised in that day was “all souls are precious to God”, not Christians souls alone, alllll, the protest was for the benefit of all Nigerians not a sector. These people have neverrrr come out to say anything against insecurity, never condemned herdsmen or look for a solution to all their young men roaming around with no ambition and being recruited into deadly groups everyday, but, if Christians cough, they will not sleep over night, nawa o!

Even Buhari commended the protest as being peaceful, can any of their groups carry out peaceful protests? Impossible. Do they even have a meeting and tell each other the truth before releasing these silly statements? Just like they copied Amotekun after shouting against it, they will soon organize their own protest, we have issues in this country.

Where are the Igbos who say Yoruba Muslims like the muric man overdo Islam? See your brother- Alhaji Yusuf Chinedozi Nwoha lol! At least yorubas are Muslim through deep belief and birth/family. I dare say Igbos are Muslims for financial reward and business contracts.

If you don’t see the plot of using the igbo name, you won’t understand why they had to position a fake suicide bomber in that church and told him to say he was Christian. No right thinking Igbo will be a Muslim. Maybe someone who was bought and had to disassociate himself from the Igbo community. You can’t be an Igbo Muslim And be comfortable among the igbos.

What I expected was that the NSCIA should carry out a rally in solidarity not all this show of shame.

A peaceful protest was done against the mindless killings across the country. The government was reminded of her responsibilities of protecting lives and properties. Why are they troubled? Should we rather celebrate the killings? Is there something they are not saying?

The Nigerian constitution guarantees freedom of association and speech. If a group decides to protest the killing of their members, they are exercising their right as enshrined in the constitution and that protest was peaceful. If others want to "sidon look" when their members are killed, they should not complain against those protesting.

Nigeria my country. One thing I took note in the prayer of Adeboye on Sunday is pray for every lives irrespective of what religion. A Muslim killed is a potential child of GOD. Besides banner carried stated all ‘lives are equal’. It could be from an economy point of view (which we might agree not) where we have the rich in affluent with no security issues while the middle class or Lower class are suffering from it. We need more people to be open minded when dealing with issues. From another perspective, BH send out videos of killing innocents souls, have they for once condemn the act publicly, now CAN took it to the forefront, side talks starts. This isn’t about religion but about security except if it is true of their intent to islamize the country.

We the Igbo don't have Muslims amongst us. Any Igbo man who practices the Arabic religion of Islam will lose his or her Biafran citizenship. We do not want a destructive religion amongst our people. Everywhere there is Islam, there is crisis, starvation, sickness, illiteracy, backwardness, and hatred. If you are Igbo, you must believe in Christ or you will be expelled and never allowed back into the East.

This is interesting. People get slaughtered and CAN, a Christian organisation comes out for a prayer/protest (whichever you believe) holding placards that said "ALL LIVES ARE PRECIOUS IN GODS SIGHT".. NSCIA comes out not to protest the killings or to support the protest agreeing that all lives are equal, rather, they describe it as game of playing politics with security. How???? It is obvious who is playing the game of politics and values human life more

Tomorrow now some idiots will say we are one. Hausa Muslim hate Christians and other tribes so much. Most of them don't even pray in Yoruba mosque. Every body should go their own way This country. The hatred and complain is too much.in that case this Hausa Muslim should leave, they should go and practice their Islam in peace over their in the north. The Yoruba Muslim are comparable with one another they can remain while the east/south south go their way. E they be una like play play, if only you guys know what this regime, Bulgari and the Hausa/fulani Muslim's are planing. It will take everybody unaware. And if you don't know, know it today that the so called heads men everywhere, were contracted, trained, equiped with different animations by Buhari, before the 2015 election, to fight if he does not win, and if Good Luck does not hand over. This lead to the statement by the former president Good Luck, (that his second ambition does not worth the shedding of blood of any Nigerians). Now buhari has won the election, did not pay the agreed amount they promised the Fulani herdsmen that were contracted to fight if he does not win, or if Good Luck Jonathan did not hand over. Since there was not fight or crisis, so they did not complete the Fulani headman money. And now, the Fulani heads men decided to go through other means to get the money complete. So do you think that the government can't stop this kidnapping in Kaduna, Zamfara and other places? Every kidnapping act carried out by this Fulani herdsmen was to complete the money promised to be given to them to fight, if buhari does not win and if Jonathan had refused to hand over. But as God may have it, buhari won, Good Luck hand over. I just feel for the families of those who have been kidnapped/killed by this Fulani vampires, also the ,sodeirs over there putting their life at risk for this wicked regime of blood sockers, money looters, self fish/self centered leaders, and the worst corrupt regime Nigeria have ever had in her life time. All the Abacha money, EFCC, hypocritical eye service collected money, the 26billion dollars missing in NNPC, then Buhari as the head of NNPC. The single treasury account stuff and then the IPPIS, and more. Waitin them they use all this money do. Better road we no see, Healthcare, for where? Education zero, NEPA dead and buried etc. People will be so amfazed by the quntom of looted money and corruption carried out during this regime, as soon as they are out of power.

Exactly, I was surprised the day I heard they have different mosques ooooo, so the Yoruba Muslims are not good enough to enter Hausa mosques and vice versa, I think even Hausa mosque is different from Fulani sef lolll, there’s confusion everywhere, religion has separated humans more than uniting them.

I wonder how people reason when they make comments and bring before public domain. So if u ve an Igbo man as a muslin, must u use that an excuse to perpetrate evil? Does ur religion enjoy killing? Even if more Muslim are being killed by BH, is it not the right for u to call the attention of the Govt what is happening? Must u use an Igbo name to justify yourselves. People who known that ur life and my life is precious to our creator [God} are trying to attract the attention of the Govt, to put them on their toes, u now use Igbo and Yoruba names to pass wicked message to ur wicked blood sucking muslims, of course u know u cant deceive Christians stupendous and heart comment of such. May be when next u want to comment, u go look for bishop ok? Blood sucking and barbaric religion.
