The training sessions at Inter’s training ground in Appiano Gentile will restart again this Monday, when more of Spalletti’s men are able to take part in training again.

Both Asamoah and Perisic should have returned to Inter from their respective national teams. Gagliardini will be facing Poland tomorrow with the Italian national team and is expected to start int hat match.

Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports today on the return of these players and the work that will be carried out ahead of the derby: “All of the diplomatic work by Inter’s management is working. They managed to obtain the immediate return of Vrsaljkjo, D’Ambrosio, and Brozovic, who were all struggling with minor injuries. Some of Inter’s fans still remember what happened ahead of another derby, the one on April 2nd 2011, which was decisive for the Scudetto race. On that occasion, it was AC Milan who were able to stop some of their players from going to their national teams and that proved to be decisive in the title race as AC Milan were able to beat Inter 3-0 that day.”

“Regarding Vrsaljko, D’Ambrosio, and Brozovic, yesterday they did some individual work to get them back to full fitness. It is expected that either Monday or Tuesday they will all be working with the rest of the group in order to be ready for the derby on Sunday. Spalletti is considering starting with Gagliardini in midfield in the derby, given that Vecino, who scored yesterday against South Korea, wont be back until Thursday” Corriere concludes.
