Ravens send Willie Henry to IR

NFL, Baltimore Ravens

OWINGS MILLS, Md. -- The Baltimore Ravens placed defensive tackle Willie Henry on injured reserve Tuesday and promoted offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor from the practice squad.

Henry, a fourth-round pick in 2016, made an impact on third downs last season, recording 3.5 sacks.

He missed the first four games of this season after having hernia surgery. Henry made three tackles and one sack in three games since his return. His latest injury is undisclosed.

It's possible the Ravens could designate Henry for return after eight weeks. Michael Pierce excelled at defensive tackle during Henry's absence.

The Ravens addressed depth along the offensive line by adding Eluemunor, a fifth-round pick in 2017.

Baltimore went with just six offensive linemen in Sunday's game because of injuries to two starters: guard Alex Lewis (neck) and James Hurst (back).

The Ravens (4-3) play Sunday at the Carolina Panthers (4-2).
