Woman Convicted Of Killing Fiancé Wins Portion Of His $1 Million Life Insurance

Angelika Graswald, the woman who caused her fiancé's death in 2015 by pulling the drain plug no his kayak as he entered turbulent waters, has just been awarded part of his $1 million life insurance.
As RadarOnline.com has learned, Graswald pled guilty to criminally negligent homicide after she let her fiancé, Vincent Viafore, die while in New York's Hudson River.
Before the two went into the water, Graswald removed the drain plug from Viafore's kayak and pushed away the paddle, which he could have used to save himself.
After she was arrested for the crime, Graswald admitted that she wanted Viafore dead because she had grown tired of his sex demands.
The woman was then sentenced to up to four years in prison, but was released last December after serving only two.
Ever since her release, Graswald has been working hard to get a chunk of her fiancé's $1 million life insurance payout. Bizarrely, she is still legally entitled to half of her former love's money despite her role in his death.
This Monday, Graswald got her way, as Viafore's mother and sister agreed to give her an undisclosed settlement.
"It's time to let this family move on," Allan Rappleyea, the Viafore family's attorney told CBS New York.
In shocking photos from this Monday, Angelika Graswald is seen smiling while exiting the courtroom.
