Looking Back On 2018-19: Brian Fobbs and Dennis Tunstall each earned All-CAA honors last season, with Fobbs collecting All-CAA Second Team accolades while Tunstall was an All-Defensive Team selection … At 17.5 ppg, Fobbs was the fifth-leading scorer in the CAA in his junior year … Tunstall was ninth in the CAA with 7.7 rpg and helped key a Tigers defense that led the CAA in field-goal percentage defense, limiting opponents to 43.6-percent shooting … Towson paced the CAA in both rebound margin (+5.0) and offensive rebounds per game (12.2).
Looking Ahead to 2019-20: Towson returns 86 percent of its scoring punch and 90 percent of its rebounding muscle from last season including its top three scorers - Brian Fobbs, Tobias Howard and Nakye Sanders – and top three rebounders – Dennis Tunstall, Sanders and Fobbs … Among the returnees, nine of them played 10 or more minutes and started at least three games … Also returning for Towson this season are Jakigh Dottin, Nicolas Timberlake, Allen Betrand, Solomon Uyaelunmo, Chris Caligurian and Juwan Gray … Incoming freshmen Charles Thompson and Jason Gibson earned All-Washington D.C. metro honors … The Tigers will participate in the Charleston Classic, where they will meet Xavier in the first round … In addition, Towson will join Liberty, Tulane and Akron before Christmas in the Battle For The Capital tournament in Washington, D.C. at the new Entertainment and Sports Arena, which is also the site of the 2020 CAA Men's Basketball Championship.

Looking Back on 2018-19: Towson captured its first CAA title in program history in 2019, defeating Drexel in the CAA Championship game, 53-49. Towson made its first NCAA Tournament appearance, falling to UConn in the first round. Head coach Diane Richardson was named CAA Coach of the Year in her second season at the helm of the Tigers, while Kionna Jeter was named to the All-CAA First Team. Nukiya Mayo was named to the All-CAA Second Team, and was joined by Jeter on the CAA All-Defensive Team. Janeen Camp earned CAA All-Rookie honors. Murray set the Towson program record for single-season assists with 147, while Mayo and Jeter formed the highest-scoring tandem in the CAA.
Looking Ahead to 2019-20: Fans can expect the Tigers to come out roaring in 2019-20, as Towson returns four starters from a year ago. Leading the charge will be Jeter, who ranked second in the CAA in scoring and first in steals (89). Murray will look continue dishing the dimes after leading the CAA in assists, while Mayo ranked fourth in the CAA with 50 blocks. Diane Richardson begins her third season as the leader of the Tigers, and will look to improve upon her success from last season when she led Towson to its first 20-win season since 2007-08.
