Netflix is setting a course for hell in 2020. The streaming service has penciled in a Jan. 24, 2020 premiere date for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s long-awaited third part, TVLine has learned.
Per the series’ official release, the next batch of episodes “finds Sabrina reeling from the harrowing events of Part Two. Though she defeated her father Lucifer, the Dark Lord remains trapped within the human prison of her beloved boyfriend, Nicholas Scratch. Sabrina can’t live with herself, knowing that Nick made the ultimate sacrifice and is suffering, burning in Hell under Madam Satan’s watchful eye. So with an assist from her mortal friends, ‘The Fright Club’ (consisting of Harvey, Rosalind, and Theo), Sabrina makes it her mission to free him from eternal damnation and bring him back into her arms. However, the Dark Lord’s unseating has sent shockwaves through the realms—and, with no one on the throne, Sabrina must assume the title of ‘Queen’ to defend it against a challenger, the handsome Prince of Hell Caliban. Meanwhile, in Greendale, a mysterious carnival rolls into town, bringing with it a threat to the Spellmans and the coven: A tribe of pagans looking to resurrect an ancient evil.”
A mysterious carnival? A tribe of pagans? The Prince of Hell? Sounds like little has changed in Greendale since we left it back in April.
Returning for CAOS‘ third part are Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle, Gavin Leatherwood as Nicholas Scratch, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Lachlan Watson as Theo Putnam, Michelle Gomez as Madam Satan, Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood, Tati Gabrielle as Prudence Blackwood, Adeline Rudolph as Agatha and Abigail Cowen as Dorcas.

I can’t wait!
Yeah, sounds even better than the previous seasons
I love how they’re stretching a 2-season order over 4 years (and then it will be canceled). Netflix has become the worst.
Do you have to make the same comment everytime there is a story about a Netflix show.
They really aren’t stretching it out over 4 years. The 3 parts have premiered in October 2018, April 2019, and January 2020. I’m guessing part 4 will air in October 2020 making it a 2 year timeframe.
Sabrina doesn’t have seasons. It has parts. Ten episodes a year for 4 years is more than fine. Its also a lot more than you would get from 2 seasons since online shows are typically 13 eps each time
Lol, the show has seasons. Just because the seasons are called parts, doesn’t make them not seasons
Each part isn’t a season. They commissioned two seasons of 20 episodes and put them out on five parts (10 episodes + a Christmas special + 9 episodes, + 10 episodes, + 10 episodes). But each 20-episode batch was filmed in one go, under one commission and one contract option. There are several shows whose seasons are slip up. In network TVC many have a Winter/Fall run and then a Spring run. Even on Netflix, twice now Fuller House has had a full season slip in half, premiering months apart.
The one thing that the series gets wrong is that one chief aspect of Sabrina throughout the comics and the previous TV shows and animated shows is that Sabrina’s spells always backfired in hilarious ways. The tongue-in-cheek humor is what I’ve always enjoyed about Sabrina and her misadventures. I’ve always hated the fact that they have turned Archie into a teenage drama murder mystery series and transformed Sabrina into a generic horror series. They could have done a faithful adaption but all they’ve managed to do is destroy this character in the process of transforming her a drama queen.
It is a faithful adaptation to the namesake comic book “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”, a darker, elseworlds take on the character.
It is a faithful adaptation of the comic of the same name produced by Archie comics in 2014.. In fact it is a much more faithful version to the original compared to the 90’s TV show which changed a lot from original comic Sabrina The Teenage Witch (the town‘s name, the hair, the school etc.)
If you think this new show is “generic horror” then you should have read the comic book, you’d realize the netflix is much much tame & light compared to the original
Referring the 90’s TV show as the “original” is wrong.. that 90’s TV version changed a lot about original Sabrina comic published in 1971
4 years? Boi which planet you r living in coz part 1 premiered in Oct 2018!
Is anyone else bothered by the fact of how fake it looks?
You do realize they make it look that way quite deliberately, right? You know…. visual style. The series is surreal, ad based on a comic book, after all. It looks like the comic. Deliberately, *ahem*
I haven’t seen this one yet but it’s on my future binge list. Its looks better than Riverdale.
It’s much better than Riverdale. It doesn’t take itself seriously which adds to the enjoyment factor
I’m confused by ‘no-one on the throne’. Surely Madam Satan/Lilith is ruling now?
i thought the exact same thing, like everyone knows who she is in that world and she has powers and was with satan the longest. how is she not the queen?
I hope this season won’t focus on Nick.. tbh he took a lot of screentime in part 2 & he isn’t an original character.. a lot of other major characters got pushed aside to let his character shine above all (Ambrose, Harvey, Prudence, Rosalind, the Weird Sisters)
I got that Nick need to be saved in pt3, but let’s hope he won’t be all that & hindering the progress of the plot this show has a lot more potential than a cheesy typical teen drama
Really looking forward to this show.
