Rihanna has mastered the art of traveling in style. The international is always jetting from one airport to the next—and she always manages to look perfectly put-together while doing it. In the past, she has dressed up cozy track pants and even given Uggs a high-fashion spin. But her latest airport look is possibly the hardest to follow: high heels.
Leaving the more practical sneakers at home, Rihanna breezed into the airport in New York yesterday wearing sharp pointy pumps instead. The footwear may not scream travel-ready, but they certainly elevated her more casual outfit: a comfy two-piece fleece tracksuit and turtleneck. Then she piled on the modern accessories: a textured clutch, giant hoops, and small rectangular sunglasses.
This is actually not the first time Riri has worn heels to the airport—back in June she swept into JFK in sweatpants and Manolos. Who needs comfy shoes, after all, when you’re bypassing the boarding process and heading straight to your private jet?
