This weekend is WIRED25, our two-day live event featuring the ideas, innovations, and icons helping to build a better future. If you're in the Bay Area, there's still time to visit us this weekend. Many of the people that we spoke to in our November issue, like Eva Galperin and Chris Evans, will be roaming around town and coming to our offices in San Francisco.
But even if you live nowhere near SF, you don't have to worry. Black Friday is getting closer, and many stores have already started their sales. This weekend, we looked at ongoing sales at Amazon and Dell. We've also highlighted the rest of our favorite deals from around the web.
Note: When you buy something using the retail links in our stories, we may earn a small affiliate commission. Read more about how this works.
Fall is camera deals season. Whether you're looking to step up from your phone to a still-pocketable point-and-shoot or want to go full-frame DSLR, there are deals for you. Be sure to have a look at our guides to the best compact cameras, the best mirrorless cameras, and the best instant cameras.
Sony RX100 III for $598 ($150 off): Sony updates the RX100 line so frequently it's almost comical. This model is more than a year old but still offers most of what you find in the latest RX100 IV, at half the price. You get a top-tier 1-inch sensor, a very nice pop-up electronic viewfinder, a Zeiss 24–70mm F1.8-2.8 lens, and 1080 video (no 4K, alas) in a very compact package.
Panasonic Lumix ZS100 for $448 ($252 off): Panasonic's compact Lumix ZS100 gives you more zoom than the competition, going for a full 10x optical zoom lens. The camera's 1-inch sensor is on par with some of the best compact cameras and features 4K video and a great touchscreen interface. The newer model, the ZS200, is also $100 off.
Fujifilm XT-3 Mirrorless Body Only $1,299 ($201 off): Fujifilm's flagship DSLR is on sale. The XT-3 has a 26.1 megapixel APS-C sensor and shoots 4K video at 60p. It's big and heavy but well-built. The analog dials give it the feel, and the quick and easy functions, of an older film camera.
Nikon W300 Underwater Camera for $297 ($56 off): Nikon's rugged W300 is waterproof to 30 meters, shockproof on drops from up to 8 feet, and will generally take a beating and not complain. It's not always easy to use underwater, but no camera is, really. We like the extra features in this rugged point-and-shoot, like GPS tracking, altimeter, depth gauge, and more.
Garmin Fenix 5X Sapphire for $300 ($300 off): For the past few years, we've recommended the Garmin Fenix 5X (8/10 WIRED Recommends) as one of the best multisport watches you can buy. It's been replaced by the Fenix 6 series, but this watch still brings performance tracking and GPS-based mapping to all your activities. It is big, but with that size comes great power. The Fenix 5X is also available at this price from Best Buy.
Apple Watch Series 3 for $199 ($80 off): The Series 5 is Apple's current smartwatch, but the Watch Series 3 is still a great fitness tracker. (The Series 4 has been discontinued.)
Dell XPS 13—8th Gen i7, 256 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM—for $1,050 ($250 off): Our favorite Dell ultrabook is on sale. The 13-inch XPS (8/10 WIRED Recommends) has plenty of power, weighs under 3 pounds, and has a battery that lasts nearly all day (especially this model with the 1920 x 1080 display). Get an additional 5 percent off with the code DPASave5Nov at checkout.
Dell XPS 13—2-in-1 10th Gen i7, 256 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM—for $1,480 ($170 off): This folding version of the XPS features a newer, faster processor, 16-gigabytes of RAM, and a touch display that folds into tablet mode. Get an additional 5 percent off using the code DPASave5Nov.
Lego Ideas NASA Apollo Saturn V for $90 ($30 off): For the serious Lego fan, this kit is a complete Saturn V three-stage rocket that's over 39 inches tall.
23andMe Health & Ancestry Kit for $99 ($100 off): This deal matches the discount we saw on Prime Day. Unlike similar DNA testing kits, 23andMe doesn't try to upsell you on extra services, though it does ask if you'd like to participate in research. Like all DNA testing, keep in mind that you're sending your DNA to another company, and there are unknown risks to that.
SanDisk 128GB SDXC Memory Card for $20 ($48 off): This reasonably fast SD card can write at 70 megabytes per second, which is plenty fast for most digital cameras. Iif you have a full frame camera and want to record 4K or better footage, you may want to go with something faster like this Sony SF-G UHS-II 64 GB card.
SanDisk 128 GB MicroSDXC Memory Card for $20 ($48 off): This fast MicroSD card is great for adding extra disk space to your phone, or use it in a camera with the included adapter.
Western Digital 5 TB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive for $90 ($60 off): Where are you going to put all those pictures when it's finally time to dump them from that 128-GB card? On this massive portable drive, of course.
