I don't think you understand the political configuration in the north. These people are not Hausas but Fulani. Hausa do not do cattle herding. In terms of population hausa are much bigger than funali who are not more than 3million in nigeria but they have to rely on the Hausa population to rule nigeria due to the fact that hausas were conquered in 1804 when Uthman dan fodio entered the north with his jihad. Hausas have remained slaves to the Fulani since then. Perhaps you are not aware that no Hausa person has ever ruled nigeria.

Today nobody is running after anybody with a gun but it came at heavy price, structural devastation, economic downturn, human lives and more. In December 1992, the former Czechoslovakia underwent what was called the Velvet divorce without any blood shed or war divided into Czech and Slovakia republic. While the former Yugoslavia descended into mayhem and anarchy,the Czechoslovakia went about it the peaceful way. We should choose which way to go, this people keep threatening people with violence and people are folding their hands and going "we are afraid of war"," we are afraid of war' but some one is brandishing war in your face, so what do you do?
