Antonio Cassano believes that Inter will be the 2019/20 Serie A champions and that the Nerazzurri should progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League but first spoke on the difference in quality between when he played to football today.

“The football I played was made up of players who really knew how to play and today in Serie A there are about five players who could have played back when I did at the start,” he said in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

He was then asked for his prediction on who he thinks will win Serie A to which he simply responded: “Inter.”

He concluded by discussing how he thinks the Italian sides will fare in the Champions League and who he hopes will win the competition.

“Inter will go through because it is stronger than Borussia Dortmund; Napoli and Juventus will have no problems in getting through their groups and as for Atalanta, Manchester City aside, they have a good chance at progression.

“I very much hope Barcelona win it. I have a real passion for Lionel Messi, my second son is named Lionel for that reason. He is the greatest player in history. He is like Roger Federer in Tennis. There is him and then all the others.”
