Inter are following exciting 17-year-old forward Matias Godoy, whose impressive performances with the Argentinian Under-17 squad caught the attention of the Nerazzurri, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how Inter are not alone in their interest in the teenager, with both AC Milan and Chelsea also following his performances closely.

Godoy plays for Argentinian second division team Atletico Rafaela, having made his debut for the first team when he was only 16 years old.

This season Godoy has made five appearances for the first team, scoring one goal in the process. The report suggests that he is among Argentina’s most promising talents and his performances in the Under 17 World Championship seem to confirm this.

He scored three goals and provided one assist in four games in the competition, but his performances were not enough to save the side from elimination in the quarterfinals.
