Brian Kendrick is a guy that WWE is lucky to have around. Not just because of his backstage reputation of being professional, but also because he has a wealth of knowledge and is really good at training.
WWE turned to Kendrick to train Eva Marie a few years ago even before they re-signed him to come into 205 Live. But it looks like he’s also working as a scout for WWE as well.
It looks like he’s diving into this recent addition to his responsibilities in a big way because The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that Kendrick was alongside William Regal at the recently PWG Battle Of Los Angeles event. We’re not exactly sure how long the former WWE Cruiserweight Champion has been doing this role, but he was doing just that at BOLA.
It was said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Jeff Cobb received a lot of attention at BOLA this year, but that shouldn’t come as much of a surprise for anyone who has ever seen him work.
Only time will tell how much Kendrick’s backstage responsibilities will grow as he continues. But he’s still working on television, but it’s still nice to know he has other things the 39-year-old Superstar can do with WWE if and when his in-ring career concludes.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
