Thousands of vehicles sit on a lot at Honda’s Pegoh assembly plant in Melaka, Malaysia. Covering more than 1 million square feet (96,000 square meters), this facility has a total production capacity of 100,000 vehicles per year, or about 400 vehicles per day. In 2017, the Malaysia Automotive Association reported nearly 28.2 million vehicle registrations nationwide — 0.88 vehicles for every person in the country.
