How Tiger Woods can win the 2018 FedEx Cup

Nick Schwartz

Tiger Woods hasn't won a tournament all season, but he still has a solid chance to cash in on a $10 million payday by winning the FedEx Cup this weekend at East Lake Golf Club.

Woods is currently 20th in the FedEx Cup point standings, but every golfer in the field could potentially end the season by claiming the FedEx Cup. For Woods to win his third Cup, he'll have to win the tournament and hope that leader Bryson DeChambeau has an off week.

The PGA Tour announced plans Tuesday to make radical changes to the Tour Championship beginning in 2019 that would make it almost impossible for Woods to win the FedEx Cup from the same position. Under the 2019 rules, Woods would start the tournament at 2-under par, eight shots behind DeChambeau.
