Marv and Oni get a request to check out the film "Gangster Party". So they bring their guest Andrew Steiner along with them to watch this film from the early '00s for the first time.

We bring back guest Yoshiko Watson and put her onto the Netflix film "They Cloned Tyrone" starring Jaimie Foxx, John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Kiefer Sutherland.

The Christmas movie and sequel we probably didn't know we needed. We get our guest Zoe Levy in one more time as we show her the next chapter of the story of "The Best Man".

Marv & Oni welcome guest Aliza Gandi as they put her to the film "The Cookout". See why they were glad they weren't invited.

In honor of Hip-Hop's 50th anniversary, we decided to show our guest Aaron Kaplan the first ever hip-hop film "Wild Style".

Guest Jimmy Peoples joins hosts Marv, and Oni, as they review the remake of the film "White Men Can't Jump.

Marv and Oni are back. They start a new season of putting people onto the hood one film at a time by showing their guest, Meeti, the 1997 movie "Sprung".

Marv and Oni decide to put themselves on to a hood film they've never seen before when they review the modern day reboot of House Party.

Oni joins Marv on his other podcast "Nerdz in the Hood" as they discuss the Super Bowl, the upcoming Flash movie, and of course, hood films. 

In a bit of a twist, Marv and Oni decide to put themselves on to a hood film.  They check out the 2016 short film "Take Over Your Trap" starring "2 Chainz".

Another day, another hood film as we put our guest Chewy May on to the Hood Film "ATL". 

Marv and Oni decide to check out a hood film documentary with their guest Paul Dagliolo. They put him on to the legendary documentary, Backstage, which showcased a day behind the scenes of the Hard Knock Life Tour featuring Jay-Z, Method Man, Redman, Ja Rule, and the late great DMX.  

Marv and Oni get some drinks flowing with guest Cansu Karabiyik as we put her on to the movie "Friday after Next".  We get her views on the film and answer the age old question of if "Friday after Next" is indeed a Christmas movie.

Marv and Oni close out the year 2021 checking out another indie hood film.  They review "Good Boys for Life" currently streaming on Amazon and see if it's worthy of being called a hood film.  

Marv and Oni pay their respects to comedian AJ Johnson, by putting their guest Dan Wickes on to the film "I got the Hook Up" which starred AJ Johnson.  

Marv and Oni put their mission of putting the world onto the hood one film at a time on hold, to pay respect send their condolences to actor Michael K. Williams, who recently died in September. They discuss his impact as an actor, his legend status, and the fact that he acted in three hood films that were discussed on our show. 

Oni and Marv return from a mini summer vacation and get right back to work. Next up, the film Brown Sugar that came out in 2002. Our guest Suzanne Lea Shepherd watches the film and takes notes. She also asks us to define a legendary word from the hood. 

Marv and Oni decide to get their inner movie critic on and see if there are any independent films from the hood out there.  They review a film from California called "Tunnel Vision" and test the waters to see if it's hood film certified by them.

We get animated once again as we put our guest Brian Rabadeau on to the film "MKFZ".  We get behind the real meaning of the title, talk with Brian about comic books, and find out the strange mystery of one of the main characters. 

We go way back with our next episode as we put our guest Lisa Harmon on to the OG spoof film, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka".  WE get her views on the film, see how she feels about gold chains, and have Oni tell us some of what Kenan Ivory Wayans's character took from the military itself. 

We get our post father's day vibes on and go waist deep (no pun intended) with Matt Fishman as we put him on to the movie "Waist Deep".  We get his reactions to the film as he gets into his feel on the thought of putting the hood in fatherhood, the game vs tyrese and more. 

We take a trip to the streets of New Orleans as we put the wodie "Damon Millard" on to the movie "Baller Blockin" starring New Orleans' finest legends, the Cash Money Millionaires.  We get his views on the film, learn together about New Orleans culture, and try our hardest to understand the ending.  

We find out what's the craic with Ireland's own Katie Boyle as we put her on to the movie "Booty Call". Katie also puts Marv and Oni on to how the hood be in Ireland, and reveals how some of her past relationships relate to this film. 

2 years later and we're still going strong. We celebrate our historic milestone by getting our very first guest from our debut episode Alison Klemp. When we first started we showed her a Cam'ron film and so we figured why not show her ANOTHER Cam'ron film. Join us as we put her on to the 2014 film "Percentage".   

Marv and Oni get fancy and find a studio in the hood. They also bring their guest Mercer Morrison in to put him on to Above the Rim. They talk sports, and it's impact in the NY and hood scene. They also bring up their athletic days before stand up. 

We're back putting someone else onto another hood film. This time we put our new homie Ellya onto the 2014 film "School Dance" directed by Nick Cannon. We get her views about the film, and listen to how she compares this film to "High School Musical".  

No guests again this week. So Marv and Oni decided to do a special culture themed episode of our spinoff series Rep Your Hood Film. In this installment we sit down and chop it up about hood films in general. We discuss what made our mission with this podcast and discuss the impact hood films had on our lives as well as it's representation to the culture. We also answer the age old question to the meaning of the phrase, "Whose mans is this?".
