From weddings, award functions to photo-shoots, this year was high on fashion and glamour. The one fashion trend that dominated every Bollywood's star's wardrobe was sari. From Alia Bhatt to Katrina Kaif, every star made a case for a sari in 2019. As the year is almost over, we took a look at some of the most gorgeous and stylish saris designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.After winning the internet by dressing the Bollywood brides Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, it's safe to say he's the most sought-after designer for Indian wear.
Unlike the traditional saris, this year Sabya took the sari style up a notch by showcasing us new and different styles of saris. One of his biggest experiments with saris was prints. We saw a series of printed saris worn by celebs like Anushka, Deepika, Katrina and many more.
Another experiment he made this year was with the drape, the designer used a lot of modern and traditional silhouettes in 2019. Along with prints and drapes, the one sari accessory that became popular than ever was the belt, which became an iconic style this year.
The waist belt features a brass buckle embossed with brands' logo, the Bengal tiger. From leather belts to matching fabric one, a lot of the stars were seen acing this belt with full panache. It helped the stars to keep the pallu in place and also give more structure to the drape.
