Who was that masked man?
President Biden preached unity on the steps of the Capitol at noon and then turned about and signed 17 shamelessly partisan, divisive and destructive executive orders before dinner.
CFACT’s Marc Morano responded rapidly, appearing on Fox and Friends this morning to lay out the facts on three of the worst:
- Plunging back into the UN Paris Climate Accord
- Blocking oil production in Alaska’s ANWR
- Canceling the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline
“This is going to hammer middle America,” Marc said, “and it’s not going to change the climate one bit. So we’re back where we were under President Obama with more climate virtue signalling.”
“The cost of energy is going to go up… America went under President Trump, which was a very aggressive pro-domestic energy policy, we became not only energy independent, which politicians have talked about for decades, but energy dominant. For the first time since Harry S Truman was president we had more energy exports than imports.”

Instead of unity, President Biden delivered further division.
Biden’s anti-energy orders will needlessly harm all Americans. They are also a sharp slap in the face to people you would think Biden would want as allies. Labor unions and Canada’s left-wing, climate-campaigning Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, were counting on the flow of Canadian oil via Keystone XL to fuel thousands of desperately needed, high income jobs at a time of crisis.
China received an unwarranted gift of industrial and military advantage. America’s most serious competitor can now look forward to Canada’s oil flowing across the Pacific on tankers, rather than south to the U.S.A. via the safer, cleaner and more efficient pipeline.
Sadly, this assault on America’s energy supply will have no meaningful benefit to the climate or environment.
Way to sucker punch America and our closest friends with the stroke of a pen, Joe.
