EcoCash increases minimum Zesa token purchase by 500%

The good news. EcoCash Zesa token purchases are back.

The bad news. The minimum purchase is now $10 from the previous $2.

In a statement the company said:

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company electricity token system on EcoCash is now working. Customers are now able to buy ZESA tokens via EcoCash.

The minimum value you can buy your ZESA token on EcoCash has been increased to $10 to improve system efficiency.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and we will keep you informed of any further developments.

Not sure if this is a Zesa services thing because we also noticed that when Topup came back online its minimum had also been raised to $10 a go.

So if you want less, leave home, go and stand in a queue and buy. We did that the other day at queue in a Supermarket.

So much for convenience for those who can’t buy $10 a go.
