Chris mentioned this in the morning roundup but I’m just getting around to it now.

Apparently Eagles sideline reporter and WIP weekend morning host Howard Eskin discovered a DEFLATED FOOTBALL during last night’s preseason game.

Howard explained what he saw on Twitter:

Hmm… interesting. Surely the dirty Steelers were not trying to cheat in a preseason game, yeah?

He added more details in response to a story written by SteelersDepot.com:

This was enough to get the NFL involved, and Howard circled back around for a third time to explain that he did not think this was intentional:

Howard linked the NFL home page and not the specific story, but here’s what the league had to say about it:

“All footballs were in compliance with NFL rules following the pregame inspection process and all proper procedures were followed,” NFL vice president of football communications Michael Signora said in a statement. “In the third quarter, a football that was found to be defective was removed from play, will be sent back to Wilson for review.”

Alright then, just a defective football. False alarm.

Time’s yours.
