Muggy, stormy weather likely for beginning of work week

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - * T-storms likely on Monday
* Warm and muggy
* Cooler by week's end?

Things are changing this week. First, it will be warm, muggy and stormy. Then cooler and a little less muggy for a few days. It's all about a cold front!

The cold front will be to our northwest on Monday. That will allow more warm and humid air to move into the picture. Highs on Monday and Tuesday will be in the low 90s. It will be muggy too!

Thunderstorms seem to be a pretty good bet both days. It will make slow progress, but the front will finally move through on Tuesday. A couple of showers could linger into Wednesday morning.

The second half of Wednesday and Thursday will bring a decrease in the humidity. Highs will still make it to the low 90s on Wednesday, but we should be in the upper 80s on Thursday. Rain chances should remain low.

The chance for rain will pick up a bit as we head into next weekend and another front approaches. Highs may stay in the 80s each day.
