Inter chief executive Alessandro Antonello spoke with gathered reporters outside of Milan’s city hall following a meeting with council officials regarding the new stadium project and future of San Siro.

“It was a useful meeting, as always. We talked about open topics such as the maintaining the surface of the San Siro. Now the goal is to work on various hypotheses and we, the clubs, made ourselves available to collaborate,” he said.

“It is necessary to understand how things can proceed towards the next steps. The point of today’s discussion was to understand how to make the space occupied by San Siro work in such close proximity to the new stadium. We would have liked the mayor to have been present at the meeting.”

In conclusion he was asked if it is still possible that San Siro could be entirely demolished as the clubs had intended.

“There are deliberations going on. We are waiting for the result of those deliberations””
