Philadelphia Eagles: Where does the offensive line rank right now?
Pro Football Focus has released their annual NFL offensive line rankings.
It’s that time of the year again, Philadelphia Eagles fans! As we impatiently wait for training camp, we get to read and debate on NFL positional power rankings. Unlike last year, the Eagles are the top dogs due to the fact that they won Super Bowl LII (in case you forgot).
Although it was a team effort that won the Super Bowl, we can especially give a huge thanks to the dominant offensive line for their incredible blocking all season. It was quite evident that the Eagles offensive line was a top-three unit by the end of the regular season. That is quite impressive considering they were without their All-Pro tackle, Jason Peters.
Seeing that the Eagles will gain instead of losing the workforce up front after free agency, where does the offensive line rank heading into the 2018 season? Well, everybody should be excited to know that the always controversial Pro Football Focus has some good news for Philadelphia. Just like last season, PFF has ranked the Eagles offensive line as the best unit heading into the NFL.
Well… Duh!
No surprises here, right? The Eagles are clearly monstrous up front. Right after they replaced Isaac Seumalo with Stefen Wisniewski, it was almost perfect. That was until Jason Peters went down with a season-ending injury. That didn’t mean the Eagles would fold on the left side, though as Halapoulivaati Vaitai served his mentor well.
In the eyes of PFF, Wisniewski will be the weak link on the offensive line. Talk about a good problem to have. They ranked Wiz at No. 26 for offensive guards. Next in line would be Lane Johnson who shockingly checked in at No. 6. Brandon Brooks and Jason Peters were both ranked No. 4 at their respective position while the team’s spokesperson and center took the crown as the best center in the league, according to PFF.

So as long as the Eagles avoid any significant injuries once again, they should have some stellar protection for their quarterback, and some wide open lanes for their runners. And in case you were wondering where the rest of the NFC East ranked, we’ve got you covered.
The Dallas Cowboys came second to the Eagles, just like last year’s division race. The Washington Redskins made a significant jump from No. 21 to No. 12, and the New York Giants take an underwhelming leap to No. 25 after being No. 26 heading into last year.
