American makeup brand Benefit Cosmetics, owned by the LVMH group, has announced the appointment of Christie Fleischer to the role of CEO. She will report directly to Chris de Lapuente, Chairman and CEO of LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics Division.

"Christie is a natural leader", said de Lapuente. "I am certain that she will be a fantastic match with the Benefit culture and will lead the brand to even greater heights."

The American exec will be able to draw on her 11-year experience at Disney,  where she led merchandise and product development. In 2018, she joined Netflix, where she served in a similar capacity.

"I am incredibly excited to join Benefit," commented Fleischer. "I look forward to working with the team to continue to innovate in this dynamic industry."

Benefit Cosmetics was founded in 1976. The brand has been owned by LVMH since 1999 and registered turnover of $1.2 billion in 2017.
