This week, we learned Boston Celtics guard Jaylen Brown would be an 84 overall when the game launches on September 11, and Miami Heat 3-and-D spark plug Josh Richardson is at a 78.

A lot of fans have raved about the Golden State Warriors lineup, and with good reason, but the Celtics are shaping up to be quite the squad in 2K19 as well. Second-year star-in-the-making Jayson Tatum will be rated an 87. He is perhaps the most-overrated player thus far amongst the early reveals.

I fully expect Tatum to be one of the best players in the NBA for years to come, but I'm not sure he did enough in his rookie season to warrant an 87 out of the gate in Year 2, but we'll see. When you consider we've yet to see what Kyrie Irving, Gordon Hayward and/or Al Horford's rating–and that the average between the three could be around 85–Boston's digital depth will be significant.

Brown's name wasn't mentioned much in the race for Most Improved Player, but it should have been. He went from averaging 6.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and making 45 percent from the field and 34 percent from behind the arc, to 14.9, 4.9, 46% and 39%, respectively.

Brown also played excellent defense as he helped to fill in for the injured Hayward.

While it's easy to make the case that Tatum was overrated, it's almost as easy to say that Richardson is being disrespected. Richardson is one of the league's best on-ball defenders and a good three-point shooter at just under 38 percent. Last season, the 24-year-old averaged 12.9 points and 1.5 steals per game.

The versatile wing is one of the better Three-and-D players in the league, but unfortunately, it seems as if his defense wasn't recognized.
