I decided initially against asking this question since i thought it might be too obscure. However, I noticed that the site contains a section for vaping in Asia. So i thought i would give it a try. I'm not expecting a flood of responses but if anyone knows then that would be splendid.

My dad is currently on holiday in Rwanda. Soon to be visiting Uganda and Kenya. They are mostly camping but he did say they would be in Nairobi at one point.

How extensive is vaping in those countries does anyone know?

I am wondering if he would easily (has to be easy) be able to get hold of a non-TPD tank while he is over there?

I don't want him to have to spend hours looking for a vape shop or wandering into dodgy areas.

What about getting it back out of Africa and into the UK....via Qatar.

Just a thought and probably won't be do-able.

I work with a Ugandan who goes back every year and takes a couple of mods and a shit load of juice with him.

The official line is that vaping is banned though, so he may just have got lucky.

He has never found a vape shop there.

Wouldn't it be simpler for you to just order the tank from Fasttech? It would be with you in a week or so if it is in stock, using the UK express epacket delivery option (which only costs like $1).

I second this option. You just order it online, pay with paypal and they send it in the post. Much easier than smuggling from east africa via qatar. It’s only a tank after all.

Mind you he might bump into the vaping guru at some lonely border crossing, dragging a pallet of wasp nanos behind him!! :-D

hi why dont you get the tank you want from fasttech choose uk express packit and you should have the tank you want in about a week.................

I’ve vaped around North and South Africa, didn’t see a single vapeshop anywhere, tbh was lucky to have electricity half the time.

Hi Guys,

I just came back from Uganda last week (July 5th 2018) and found two vape shops. They are both in Acacia Mall in the capital city Kampala. One is downstairs under the escalator called "Beruit Shop". They sell a very basic 2012 era vape device, and vape juice (Liqua Brand). THE ONLY PROBLEM ... is that their vape juice has no nicotine.

I would bring nicotine bottles with you. Perhaps in your toiletries bag.

Then upstairs in the same mall, there's an electronics shop with some serious gear. SMOK cloud blaster devices and batteries etc. But no juice.

So apparently vaping and shisha pipes are banned in Uganda, but I've seen both. Including in some bars where you have like 5 people all sharing a shisha. This was not a shady bar hidden away in a slum btw, but an upscale one in the city centre.

So I guess they're sort of legal/not really sure.

Hope this helps.
