The 2017 NFL season produced a variety of memorable images, but one stood above the rest.

And that special image will be honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer.

Nick Foles went from journeyman quarterback to Super Bowl MVP by remarkably filling in when Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz tore his ACL in December. At the time, it appeared as though the Eagles' dream season was all but over—but Foles stepped up his game.

Foles and the underdog Eagles upset Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, 41-33, in Super Bowl LII. The backup-turned-hero earned Super Bowl MVP honors by throwing for 373 yards and three touchdowns in the game.

While he celebrated the franchise's first Super Bowl championship with his teammates, the 29-year-old father also shared the moment with his daughter, Lily.

"Eagle Eye," taken by Getty Images photographer Robb Carr, was selected as the 2017 NFL photo of the year by a panel of judges. It earned the Dave Boss Award of Excellence and will be a part of the Enshrinees Roundtable during the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week in August.
