The Black Metal Version of Toto’s “Africa” You’ve Been Asking For

0

The resurgence of popularity in Toto’s “Africa” has taken on a life of its own. It’s a bit baffling, but hey, it’s catchy as fuck, right? Besides, this happens every few years with seemingly forgotten hits from the past: Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” come to mind as other songs that frat boys brought back from the dead, screamed at the top of their lungs right before the bar closes and subsequently completely ruined for everyone else.

So: here’s the black metal interpretation of “Africa” you’ve been patiently waiting for. This one comes via Woods of Trees, the parody outfit who’ve produced grim/kvlt versions of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On,” several Abba songs, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas is You” and other fun videos like “Black Metal in the Desert” and “Black Metal Busking in Prague.” Check it out below.
