Invicta FC 36 weigh-ins: Featherweight title fight on, two others miss weight

The Invicta FC 36 main event title bout is on, but two competitors failed to beat the scale on Thursday.

Pam Sorenson and Kaitlin Young both successfully hit the 145-pound mark on the dot for their Friday fight at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas, that will be for a vacant featherweight championship.

Coming in heavy were strawweight Janaisa Morandin (119.6 pounds) and flyweight Chantel Coates (126.5 pounds). Their respective bouts with Emily Ducote and Caitlin Sammons will proceed as scheduled, with Morandin and Coates being fined 25 percent of their purses.

The entirety of Invicta FC 36 will air on UFC Fight Pass starting at 8 p.m. ET on Friday.
