Diljit Dosanjh on Kangana Ranaut: She can’t get me out of her mind

Referring to the ongoing farmers’ protest in the country and Diljit’s support to the protesters, Kangana tweeted, “Wah brother!! Desh mein aag lagake kisanon ko sadak le baitha ke local karantikaris videsh mein thand ka maza le rahe hain, wah!!! Isko kehte hain local kranti… (Amazing, brother! After inciting farmers and applauding their decision to protest in this biting cold, you are having quite the time vacationing abroad. This is what I mean when I talk about a ‘Local Revolutionary’).”

Later, Diljit shared a post in Punjabi on Twitter which read, “Farmers are not that naïve, they cannot be swayed or influenced by what people like you or me have to say on this issue. They have a mind of their own. And you cannot seem to stop staring at my social media posts…Punjabis are waiting for your answer. Don’t think we have forgotten about you.”

In her reply, Kangana wrote in Hindi which translated to, “Only time will tell my friend, that who fought in favour of the farmers and who fought against them. You cannot hide one truth with hundred lies. If you love someone with your whole heart, they will never hate you. You really think Punjab will go against me under your influence? Don’t have such high dreams, they’ll get shattered.”

Diljit was quick to reply, “I don’t understand what is her problem with the farmers? Madam, entire Punjab is with the farmers… You are living your life as per Twitter… No one is even talking about you. You are talking on your own behalf, we have not asked you to. That’s your business.” In another tweet, he added, “Shouldn’t I keep her as my PR? She can’t get me out of her mind.”

This Twitter clash between Kangana Ranaut and Diljit Dosanjh is not new. The two have exchanged heated words on social media on multiple occasions over the farm bill and the ensuing protests. While Diljit has rallied behind the protesting farmers, Kangana thinks the newly passed bills will do a world of good to the nation’s ‘kisaan’.

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut is looking forward to the release of Jayalalithaa biopic Thalaivi and the actioner Dhaakad.
