Airport officials tweeted the following after a United Airline plane that reportedly left LaGuardia and was en route to Houston made an emergency stop in Newark due to possible mechanical failures:
‘Due to an airport emergency, there are currently no arrivals nor departures from Newark Airport. Please check with your carrier before coming to the airport’
There were no injuries reported aboard the plane.
Airline sources confirmed hydraulic issues at this time.
