Stop Claiming Port-harcourt Terminal Project, PDP Tells Buhari by chieyine(m): 5:58pm On Oct 25, 2018
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) parodies President Muhammedu Buhari for trying to claim credit for the Port Harcourt Airport Terminal, even when it is public knowledge that the project was conceptualized, articulated and financed by the PDP administration.

The PDP said President Buhari's theatrical commissioning of the terminal built by the PDP administration is another failed media stunt to create a false impression that Mr. President is performing, even when he made no contribution whatsoever towards the execution of the project.

Nigerians were thoroughly amused when President Buhari's handlers brought him to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for the first time since his inauguration in 2015, only to orchestrate another failed attempt to claim credit for project executed by others.
If anything, the Buhari administration, in its incompetence, only succeeded in delaying the completion of the project, which was perfected by the PDP, including payments to contractors.

It is to say the least appalling that after three and half years, a President, who is seeking reelection, cannot point to any development project, initiated and executed by his administration in any part of our country. Instead, our dear President has been moving
around trying to claim credit for projects executed by the PDP all in a desperate attempt to cover his failures in governance.
Only recently, President Buhari and his dysfunctional All Progressives Congress (APC), to the chagrin of Nigerians, attempted to claim credit for the Abuja Light Rail Project, even when it was public knowledge that that project was conceptualized and policy-propelled by the PDP.

We know that President Buhari is eager to stuff up his false performance claims ahead of election, but doing so with the achievements of others is the height of desperation and deceit, which has already become repugnant to majority of Nigerians and the international community.
The PDP therefore counsels President Buhari's handlers to use the remaining days of his failed administration to prepare him to get ready to accept his imminent defeat in 2019, as Nigerians have already rallied behind our candidate, Atiku Abubakar, whose
performance credential is known to all.

PDP should tell the whole world when the contract was signed and why it took a project that’s supposed to take 18 months is taking 5 years.... The Agreement was signed in 2013 and they failed to provide the counterpart funding till they were voted out.. Now they’re here shouting it’s their project... When Wike commissioned Iwofe-Wimpey, Obiri-Ikwerre to Airport and other projects started by Ameachi in rivers state they were shouting Wike is working but now that another Government completed a project they didn’t mobilize contractor to site they are shouting....

In his speech PMB called it a federal government project but PDP wants him to call it a Jonathan project!

So because he came to commission the project so he is claiming it?

PDP can be petty at times sha.

The used our money to flag off a project since 2013 and failed to deliver it after 18 months as stipulated,

Now they want us to sing and dance for them for using public money to fund a project?

Since the tenure of this present administration they have been taking credit for GEJ's projects. The only reason the 2nd Niger bridge has been left is because GEJ didn't build it up to an advanced stage for them to claim the glory.....

Let's assume Jonathan started 200 projects nationwide and completed 50.

That leaves 150 uncompleted projects.

So which is better for the present government?

Use our resources to complete the 150 uncompleted and abandoned projects

Or

Abandon them initiate brand new projects?

How do they do that?

Maybe by starting his speech like this?

"Fellow Nigerians, welcome to this commissioning. Before I continue let me announce it to the world,

'Na Jonathan start the project ooh' "

like most Nigeria youths, I know you are too lazy to do any research. Do yourself a favour and goggle portharcourt international airport contract award. The contract was awarded in 2012 and it was to be completed in 2015 . The contractor was slow because of contract variation challenges but as at 2015 the contract was over 60% completed. Unfortunately there were disagreements between the new government and the contractor on timeline and variations which was eventually resolved.

looking at your previous posts and how you go about ranting and using vulgar languages, I can deduce the low intellectual and mental capacity of people like you. Like I always tell my students, the way you write or react to issue reveals a lot about your mental capacity. You surely belong to the group of people who try to hide their limitations with use of vulgar words. Where did I mentioned that PDP completed the contract? I only stated the fact that PDP initiated the contract and as usual you went into your panic ranting mood. There is no point mentioning someone like you who derived morbid pleasure in cancelling other people's posts.
