Bale has always been a favourite of Perez’s and it is interesting he is apparently more preoccupied with keeping him than Ronaldo. The key line is Bale 'is not bluffing'. Ronaldo bluffs every year whereas Bale’s comments were a remarkable departure from the usual rhetoric he adopts on his future.

Former United winger Memphis Depay is wanted by both Milan clubs, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Some United fans would have the Lyon forward back at Old Trafford and United do have a buy-back clause.
