Milan Skriniar has spoken on the beginning of his footballing career and the rumoured price it would take for any interested club to sign him.

“I started playing football when I was four-years-old. In my family my father, my brother and my grandfather all played football. I left home when I was 11 and at the beginning I was homesick but as soon as my parents had time, they came to see me, I have to thank them for that,” Skriniar told streaming service DAZN.

He then spoke on his first experience of playing at San Siro while at Sampdoria.

“When I came to play at San Siro for the first time with Sampdoria I immediately took pictures of everything around me, I was so excited when I entered the stadium.”

He went on to describe some of his teammates and what word best encapsulates them.

“Handanovic? Professionalism. Brozovic? Fun. For all the jokes he does. Icardi? Bomber. Spalletti? I do not know if a word is enough for him [laughs].”

Spalletti recently said it would cost any interested party in excess of €100 million to take him away from the club but the defender insisted he is just focused on the job at hand.

“I saw the video of him saying it on the internet but I do not know if it was a joke or not. As I have said before I do not think about these figures that are being talked about, I just think about doing my job. Today I do not think about leaving Inter.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on Inter’s Scudetto chances.

“The goals we score in the last 15 minutes make it clear that we are a strong team and that we believe in ourselves until the end. The goal is always to stay as close as possible to the top of the table and then we will see what happens.”
