Believe it or not, Las Vegas actually predicts the Eagles will have a winning record in 2018.

We haven’t even started offseason OTAs yet, and the experts in Las Vegas already have point spreads ready for the 2018 NFL season thanks to CG Technology. Well, that’s actually every week minus the final week of the regular season. As you know, Week 17 can, sometimes, serve as a bit of a bye week as teams are resting and readying for the playoffs . Look no further than a thrilling 6-0 contest between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys a season ago.

This is the NFL though. Any opportunity to talk about our nation’s greatest game is a welcome one. Vegas has been unkind to ‘The Birds’ in their preseason spreads recently. Just a season ago, they predicted Philly would conclude the season with a losing record. How do they see things in 2018?

We’re glad you asked.

Can the Eagles reach ‘Top Dog’ status in 2018? ‘The City of Lights’ think they have a shot.

According to ESPN, Vegas sees the Eagles as the favorites in 11 of the first 16 weeks of the season (that includes a bye week). That would give them victories over the Atlanta Falcons, Minnesota Vikings and Carolina Panthers. That would also make them losers in late-season contests against the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints.

There are two games that Vegas sees as toss-ups, the Week 8 game in London versus the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Week 14 tilt in “Jerry’s World”, where they’ll see the Cowboys in a late-season divisional match-up.
