Today’s Probables:

LHV: Tom Eshelman (10:35am start on MiLB.tv)
CLR: Mauricio Llovera
LWD: Will Stewart

Scranton/WB 3, Lehigh Valley 1

Enyel De Los Santos - 6 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, BB, 5 K, 2 HR, HBP, 8 GB, 1 FB
Brandon Leibrandt - 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R
Mitch Walding - 0 for 1
Dylan Cozens - 0 for 4, 3 K
Andrew Pullin - 0 for 3

De Los Santos’ worst start of the season...is still kind of good? He gave up a season-high 3 earned runs. In his 6 other starts this season he has 3 shutouts and 3 one-run games. He has a 1.41 ERA and 44:14 K/BB in 38.1 innings. Sad news for Mitch Walding as it was reported that he collided with Andrew Pullin on a catch and had to leave the game. I’m sure we’ll get more news of the injury at some point today. The Brandon Leibrandt shutout streak is now up to 24 innings.

Reading 9, Portland 8 (Conclusion of suspended 5/15 game and makeup of a 4/29 ppd game)
Portland 8, Reading 2

Franklyn Kilome - 4 IP, 8 H, 7 R, 3 ER, 5 BB, K, HR, WP, HBP, 8 GB, 3 FB
Elniery Garcia - 4.2 IP, 6 H, 6 R, 2 ER, BB, K, 2 HR, 6 GB, 6 FB
Jiandido Tromp - 1 for 8, K
Malquin Canelo - 1 for 4, 2 R, 3 BB, K, SB (fielding and throwing errors)
Damek Tomscha - 1 for 8, R, RBI, 3 K (throwing error)
Zach Green - 2 for 7, R, 2B, 3 RBI, BB, 2 K
Jan Hernandez - 2 for 7, 2 K
Cornelius Randolph - 0 for 3, R, BB, 2 K
Zach Coppola - 0 for 4, R
Cord Sandberg - 2 for 7, 2 R, HR, 2 RBI, K
Austin Bossart - (passed ball)
Deivi Grullon - 1 for 3, HR

Not a real good pair of starts for Reading pitchers. Franklyn Kilome doesn’t get the loss, but sees his ERA balloon to 5.87. His 34 hits, 4 hit batters and 17 walks in 30.2 IP tell the story. Kilome and Elniery Garcia both seem to be destined to the bullpen before the season is over. The Fightin’s had the long ball going with Grullon (7), Sandberg (2) and Bossart (2) going yard.

Palm Beach 5, Clearwater 2

Nick Fanti - 4 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 4 ER, BB, K, 2 HR, 3 GB, 6 FB
Raul Rivas - 0 for 4, K
Adam Haseley - 1 for 4
Austin Listi - 0 for 2, 2 BB, K
Darick Hall - 1 for 3, BB
Mickey Moniak - 1 for 4, R, K, SB
Edgar Cabral - 1 for 3, R, BB, K
Jose Pujols - 2 for 4, 2B, RBI, 2 K
Jose Gomez - 0 for 4, RBI
Luke Williams - 0 for 3, K

The return of injured pitchers keeps coming with lefty Nick Fanti making his 2018 debut. Fanti doesn’t have outstanding stuff, but was excellent with Lakewood in 2017. He pitched one no-hitter and one near no-hitter (8.2 IP, 0 H) with the BlueClaws. Yesterday wasn’t particular great for him. McKenzie Mills seemingly gets the demotion from the rotation with Fanti’s return and pitched 3 innings of relief. Mickey Moniak extended his hitting streak to 6 games and stole his 2nd base of the season.
