We did it: Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season is in the books. There were some good games. There were some bad games. But most importantly, there are small sample sizes to overreact to.

We’ll try not to do that here, but it’s hard to make promises.

Every Wednesday morning during the 2019 NFL season, PennLive will bring you NFL power rankings. You can see where the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens stack up against the rest of the NFL. And if you don’t agree, feel free to let us know in the comments.

Here’s where we are entering Week 2.

Previous: Week 1

32. Miami Dolphins (0-1) | LW: 32

Yeesh. That was ugly. The Dolphins helped the Ravens look like a juggernaut in Week 1, and it won’t get easier in Week 2: The Patriots are coming to town, and they’re favored by 19 points. It’s going to be a long year.

31. Arizona Cardinals (0-0-1) | LW: 31

All things considered, the Week 1 tie against the Lions should be considered a positive for the Cardinals. They erased a 24-6 fourth-quarter deficit. The offense had some electric moments and Kyler Murray made some plays. But a tie is still a tie.

30. Detroit Lions (0-0-1) | LW: 29

On the other side, this tie was a negative for the Lions. Detroit wasn’t aggressive down the stretch, and they almost blew an 18-point lead to the worst team in the NFL a year ago. That’s not great.

29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) | LW: 28

The first game of the Bruce Arians era in Tampa featured a three-interception performance by quarterback Jameis Winston. He’s entering the final year of his rookie deal. He hasn’t signed an extension yet, while two of the quarterbacks drafted a year after him (Carson Wentz, Jared Goff) have, and a third (Dak Prescott) seems poised to. It’s not trending well for Winston.

28. New York Giants (0-1) | LW: 27

Daniel Jones made his NFL debut in garbage time, tried to run, took a hit and fumbled. That’s the Giants’ Week 1 loss to the Cowboys in a nutshell. Also: only 11 carries for Saquon Barkley.

27. New York Jets (0-1) | LW: 26

Adam Gase’s introductory news conference earlier this year did not go well, and his first game as coach didn’t either. The Jets blew a 16-0 lead to the Bills in the third quarter and lost 17-16. There are also a couple injuries to their new top defensive acquisitions (C.J. Mosley, Quinnen Williams) to worry about. Not great.

26. Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) | LW: 30

How do you move up four spots in a loss? Well, you push the Seahawks to the edge and lose by one. It was a positive debut for coach Zac Taylor, and the biggest revelation was former first-round pick John Ross, who had seven catches for 158 yards and two touchdowns.

25. Washington Redskins (0-1) | LW: 25

Blowing a 17-point lead? Veterans complaining about Adrian Peterson being inactive? Derrius Guice already injured? Yeah, not a good weekend for the Redskins who at least played one good half of football.

24. Denver Broncos (0-1) | LW: 22

The Broncos lost to a Raiders team that was a joke a couple weeks ago. Joe Flacco had a 105.3 passer rating, but what did that really get Denver in this one?

23. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-1) | LW: 19

The Nick Foles era hadn’t even lasted a quarter before he broke his collarbone while throwing a 35-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Chark. Even with Foles, it might have been hard to keep up with the Chiefs’ firepower in a 40-26 loss. There is possibly some cause for optimism after rookie quarterback Gardner Minshew was 22 of 25 for 275 yards and two touchdowns with one interception in relief of Foles.

22. Carolina Panthers (0-1) | LW: 18

As expected, the Panthers used a heavy dose of Christian McCaffrey in their opener with 29 offensive touches for 201 yards with two touchdowns, while Cam Newton’s longest completion covered only 17 yards. Carolina, though, deserves from credit for clawing back after falling behind 13-0 and 16-3 and 23-10 to push the Rams in a 30-27 loss.

21. Atlanta Falcons (0-1) | LW: 15

Kirk Cousins threw the ball only 10 times, and the Vikings built a 28-0 lead entering the fourth quarter of the Falcons’ 28-12 loss. Minnesota scored touchdowns off two interceptions, a blocked punt and a fumble. It was a weird one for Atlanta.

20. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1) | LW: 13

It was surprising to see a team that lost Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell during the offseason not look as good on offense. We’re being facetious, but it was a surprise to see the thorough beating the Patriots gave the Steelers in the 33-3 defeat in prime time.

19. Buffalo Bills (1-0) | LW: 24

The Bills scored 17 straight points to close out a comeback win over the Jets, and their defense should have them position to be in most games this season. They get the Giants next.

18. Oakland Raiders (1-0) | LW: 21

So much for not having Antonio Brown. Derek Carr was 22 of 26 for 259 yards and a touchdown (121.0 passer rating), while rookie running back Josh Jacobs had 23 rushes for 85 yards and two touchdowns. It’s a solid start for a team that was the butt of some jokes this offseason.

17. San Francisco 49ers (1-0) | LW: 20

It was a good start for the 49ers, but the defense carried with load with two pick-sixes against Jameis Winston. Kyle Shanahan’s offense with Jimmy Garoppolo needs to get into gear.

16. Indianapolis Colts (0-1) | LW: 16

Jacoby Brissett helped the Colts rally late to push the Chargers to overtime in the first game in the post-Andrew Luck era, but Indianapolis still fell in overtime. Marlon Mack rushed for 174 yards and a touchdown while Brissett had an efficient day at 21 of 27 for 190 yards and two touchdowns. It’s a bit of a positive.

15. Houston Texans (0-1) | LW: 17

The Texans were oh-so-close to scoring a big “Monday Night Football” win over the Saints before some passive defense opened the chance for a last-second field goal. A couple things that are for sure, though: Deshaun Watson is magnificent, and DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller and Kenny Stills can be a formidable group of pass catchers.

14. Cleveland Browns (0-1) | LW: 8

Now that was a dud. The Browns got throttled by the Titans, 43-13. That’s not the way anyone saw this season with high expectations starting out.

13. Tennessee Titans (1-0) | LW: 23

The Titans might have had the most surprising Week 1 result with their 43-13 boat-racing of the Browns. Marcus Mariota was good and threw three touchdowns on only 14 attempts. But most impressively, the defense intercepted Baker Mayfield three times.

12. Chicago Bears (0-1) | LW: 9

Even after Vic Fangio left for Denver, the Bears defense still looked good. The offense, though, did not. Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky needs to show some improvement. It’s almost like coach Matt Nagy and the Bears spent the whole offense thinking about a rather fluke event...

11. Green Bay Packers (1-0) | LW: 14

The debut of first-year coach Matt LaFleur with Aaron Rodgers left a little to be desired. But the defensive makeover the featured the additions of Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage paid off in a suffocating performance of the Chicago offense.

10. Minnesota Vikings (1-0) | LW: 12

The Vikings offense made the most of its defense’s performance in building a 28-0 lead on the Falcons in their Week 1 win. It’s impressive to win a game in today’s NFL when a quarterback throws only 10 times for fewer than 100 yards. But that Minnesota defense is one to be reckoned with.

9. Seattle Seahawks (1-0) | LW: 6

OK, so a one-point win over the Bengals isn’t exactly the most ideal start to a season. But Jadeveon Clowney had a sack, D.K. Metcalf made a couple big catches and Russell Wilson was efficient. That’s a bit of the recipe for Seattle’s success this year.

8. Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) | LW: 7

The Chargers let the Colts get back in before holding on for a 30-24 win in overtime. Wide receiver Keenan Allen showed again why he’s one of the best with eight catches for 123 yards and a touchdown, Philip Rivers threw for three touchdowns.

7. Baltimore Ravens (1-0) | LW: 11

Hello, Lamar Jackson. The second-year quarterback’s exploits have been well-documented (by our own Aaron Kasinitz!) but let’s just run through them again: 17 of 20 for 324 yards, five touchdowns, zero interceptions, a perfect 158.3 passer rating in a 59-10 win over the Dolphins. Yikes!

6. Dallas Cowboys (1-0) | LW: 10

Dak Prescott was also perfect in his pursuit of a mega contract from Jerry Jones in the Cowboys’ 35-17 win over the Giants. Prescott’s 158.3 passer rating came after 25 of 32 passing for 405 yards and four touchdowns. It’s a good start for Dallas in their quest to defend their NFC East title.

5. Los Angeles Rams (1-0) | LW: 5

The Rams almost coughed it up against the Panthers … but they didn’t. Todd Gurley and Malcolm Brown split time to combine for 150 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries, but Jared Goff was not that good. He completed 23 of 39 passes for only 186 yards, one touchdown and one interception. That will have to improve.

4. Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) | LW: 4

The Eagles trailed by 17 in the second quarter and 13 at halftime. Then, the offense clicked into gear. Carson Wentz is good, DeSean Jackson is still dangerous and there are so many other options. Plus, the defense kicked into gear in the second half. Philadelphia should be a team to be reckoned with this season.

3. New Orleans Saints (1-0) | LW: 3

OK, so the Saints almost lost, but then they didn’t. Will Lutz’s foot delivered them a 30-28 victory on “Monday Night Football” to save New Orleans from another couple of news cycles complaining about officiating.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (1-0) | LW: 2

There were some scary moments against the Jaguars, but Patrick Mahomes seems like he will be fine after throwing for 378 yards and three touchdowns. Tyreek Hill, though was not so fortunate, and he appears set to miss some significant time. That might not matter, though, after Sammy Watkins had nine catches for 198 yards and three touchdowns.

1. New England Patriots (1-0) | LW: 1

Ah, the Patriots. New England put on a clinic against the Steelers as Tom Brady threw for 341 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-3 rout. And things will only get more intriguing: Antonio Brown enters the mix this week.
